Helbros Invincible
Subtle Perfection
Helbros is another little-known American brand based out of New York. Unlike most other watch brands, Helbros isn’t a manufacturer. Founded by William Helbein, they were an assembler and marketer for quality watches. The watches bearing the name “Helbros” came from all over the world: France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan and so on. In the 1950s as a subsidiary to Elgin Watches, Helbros put out two product lines that would stand the test of time in terms of design and desirability: the Regency and the Invincible. This is the latter of the two and is now the most popular Helbros amongst collectors and watch aficionados. The level of finish and Swiss build quality on the Helbros gives it a weighty, sturdy feel and has helped preserve its gorgeous design today.
