Black Tie

If you had told me that I would find two new old stock Caravelles within a month, I would have called you crazy. But alas, here we are. What makes this one even more impressive is the condition of the gold plating - it is extremely difficult to find a watch that is 35+ years old with absolutely no wear on the gold plating. In fact, its difficult to find a watch of this age where the gold plating beneath the lugs isn’t all but gone. But again, here we are. And in addition to its mint condition, this Caravelle offers excellent design - just look at those hands (likely inspired by the Rolex 1601 “Wide Boy”)! The dial of this one has a very unique texture to it - it’s almost not there, but in the sunlight, boy, does it shine. Top it off with an original crown, spotless movement, and perfectly patinated tritium lume, and you have yourself a dress watch that is to die for. They just don’t make them like this anymore.

What To Know
All of our watches keep good vintage time (within a few minutes per day) and have to meet a high standard of condition, both mechanically and aesthetically, to be included in our inventory. These watches are several decades old, and wear the battle scars of their many years of service with pride, giving each one its own unique character. Each watch is one of a kind, and once this one is sold there will never be another one exactly like it.
